A Bibulous Tour of Belgravia
Belgravia is one of London’s most exclusive areas but in the mews areas behind the grand squares can be found some of the most historic and picturesque pubs in the whole of London. I will take you to visit 3 of the most interesting pubs in the area. On our way we will pass some other pubs and buildings of note including the pub which is linked to the disappearance of Lord Lucan, see a pub connected with the Beatles and a hidden mansion together with an exclusive dining club located in a converted church. We will stop in the pub where it is said the Great Train Robbery was planned, a rather eccentric hostelry off one of Belgravia’s exclusive shopping streets and we will finish in the pub that was Wellington’s local and is said to be haunted too.
The walk starts close to Victoria Station and finishes near to Hyde Park Corner tube. It lasts approximately 3 hours which includes a half an hour stop in each of 2 historic pubs and finishes in a third.
Contact me for availability and cost. All walks can be adapted to start and finish at a venue of choice in the immediate area.
Please note: this is not a pub crawl but a walking tour exploring Belgravia via its pubs.
