I can give talks both in person or online using PowerPoint and Zoom on a variety of subjects which will give you a unique insight into history hopefully leaving you with fascinating anecdotes with which to impress your friends.

London’s unusual pubs and their histories including some ‘fake’ pubs and what went on in some of the upstairs rooms.

An unusual 19th century gambling ‘sport’ – did you know people made and lost big sums of money on rats? This unsavoury subject was discovered by me whilst researching a Soho pub.

Edward Lloyd who was both a plagiarist and a successful publisher. His story covers ground in both Walthamstow and Westminster.
